All the FNV members in the UG form together the Labour Union Representation (LUR) in the workplace (sometimes called a “bargaining unit”). The board of the LUR are delegates which are elected democratically, which meets once a month to discuss issues such as developments in the various departments of the university, and to plan and prepare FNV actions.
The LUR meets once a month, one week before the upcoming meeting of the Local Consultative Committee of the university. The meetings of the board of the LUR are on Wednesdays at 9:30-11:00 in the Regional Trade Union House on Leonard Springerlaan 23, 9727 KB in Groningen.
As a rule, every member of the FNV of the University of Groningen can come to the board meeting if they want to do so. You can also receive the minutes and the agenda of the meetings. Further, if there is anything that you think should be discussed in the board meeting, let us know via fnv@rug.nl.
